JTA — Princess Caroline of Monaco will soon be able to count a very funny Jew as a member of her family. Her daughter Charlotte Casiraghi, 27, is newly engaged to Gad Elmaleh, a Morrocan-born French actor and stand-up comedian. The two are also expecting their first child.
It will be the first child for Casiraghi, who, FYI, is Grace Kelly’s granddaughter. Elmaleh, 42, has a 12-year-old with his ex, Anne Brochet.
While Elmaleh is not very well-known in the United States, he has had a few Hollywood roles, including the French voice of Gru in “Despicable Me,” and a small part in Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris.”
Check him out here in a recent webisode of Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”
