The spring season of live events in English in The Times of Israel Presents series has something for everyone.
On Tuesday, April 25, Jerusalem writers Haim Watzman (“Necessary Stories”) and Matti Friedman (“Pumpkinflowers”) will discuss their work in our monthly series Personal Pages: Meet the Authors, at the Tower of David. Tickets NIS 50, available HERE.
Jewish Agency Chairman Natan Sharansky, the Russian-born ex-minister and former Prisoner of Zion, will speak with Matthew Kalman at Beit Shmuel on Sunday, May 7, about his life, work and the major issues facing Israel and the Jewish people. On Monday, May 15, our guests for Personal Pages: Meet the Authors at the Tower of David are Anne-Marie O’Connor (“Lady in Gold”) and Ora Ahimeir (“Bride”). Nitsana Darshan-Leitner’s latest target is Palestinian Olympic Committee and Fatah Central Committee Chairman Jibril Rajoub. Her lawsuit accuses Rajoub of being responsible for the death of a Palestinian-American allegedly tortured to death in 1995 after being arrested by security forces under Rajoub’s command. She will discuss her multi-million-dollar legal cases against terror suspects and their financiers at Beit Shmuel on Sunday, June 4. This event is co-produced with Nefesh B’Nefesh. On Sunday, May 28, you’ll have the chance to hear a live interview with Deputy Minister Michael Oren, Israel’s former ambassador to Washington. He will discuss his current work in the prime minister’s office, as well as relations with the United States.
