For those who just can’t wait, the Central Elections Committee will be offering three methods for up-to-the-minute news addicts to keep abreast of the election results as they come in after the polls close Tuesday.

The official election website, www.bechirot.gov.il, will post vote counts as they come in from communities around the country.

Results will be available in Hebrew, Arabic, and English.

In the past, Israel’s citizens had to rely on breathless news reporters to provide updates on actual results that are often confusingly delivered alongside exit polls.

For those on the road, a smartphone application, available for download from the www.gov.il website, will send out updates every 10 minutes with official results as the ballots are counted.

In addition, Google Maps will offer an interactive map that will show how the votes were split in each community in real time. The map will be available on a special tab on the Google Maps website on the day of the elections.
