The partner of the woman, in her 40s, is said to have alerted police to blaze near cemetery in central Israel; no determination yet on cause of fire

The body of a woman was found Tuesday inside the trunk of a burning car in central Israel.

The vehicle was discovered near a cemetery in Beit Yehoshua. Police were alerted by the woman’s partner, according to Channel 12 news.

Magen David Adom paramedics found the body of the woman, who was in her 40s, after the blaze was extinguished by firefighters.

Police launched an investigation and said they were probing all possibilities. Investigators had yet to determine the cause of the fire.
