A Jerusalem woman is dead after being stabbed overnight Thursday by her jilted lover, who then attempted to commit suicide by ingesting acid.
According to reports, the suspect, said to be in his 40s, stabbed his girlfriend after she broke up with him. One of the victim’s friends alerted the police, who found the suspect near the scene of the crime, Jerusalem’s Ben Zvi Boulevard, with a knife in hand.
Police said Friday morning that the suspect remains in critical condition.
