AG accuses government of improperly circumventing Knesset on cyber regulations

Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara declares that the government’s decision to extend emergency regulations related to cyber attacks via a telephone vote is a “defective process” that improperly circumvents the Knesset.

In a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Barahav-Miara — who the government is actively working to fire — says that legislation dealing with the issue is working its way through the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. She accuses the coalition of not dealing with the bill for political reasons and using that as a basis to bypass the Knesset altogether.
