Ben Gurion International Airport is currently the most disrupted airport in the world for departures, live data from Flightradar24 shows, with delays averaging between 70 and 90 minutes for departing flights.

Overall, when taking into account both departures and arrivals, the airport is currently the 10th most disrupted airport globally, the data shows.

The large-scale disruptions come after workers staged a wildcat labor strike yesterday, shutting down both check-ins and arrivals for more than an hour.

The strike began shortly after midday yesterday, and the stoppage entered into full force at 2 p.m.

Employees had fully returned by 4 p.m., but delays and crowding in the main terminal appear to have persisted.
