A 77-year-old man is killed in Gaza after Israel renewed its airstrikes, the first fatality since efforts for an Egyptian truce collapsed after a Hamas rejection.
The death of the man, in southern Khan Younis, brings the toll in eight days of violence to 193, according to emergency services spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra.
