El Al to resume flights between Tel Aviv and Eilat after more than a decade

El Al Airlines says it will resume flight services this winter from Tel Aviv to the southern resort city of Eilat after more than a decade.
Starting October 21, Israel’s flag carrier will operate two daily flights – one in the morning and one in the evening – on the Tel Aviv-Eilat route “despite complex operational challenges.”
Fares start at NIS 139 ($41) for a one-way ticket, including a trolley and a backpack. Eilat residents will be sold subsidized tickets for NIS 99 each way.
Resumption of the flight service to and from Eilat comes in response to a request by the Transportation Ministry, and as part of an effort to increase the frequency of flights on the domestic route that connects the residents of the Red Sea resort to the center of the country.
