Erdan approved as minister, will be sworn in today
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleLikud No. 2 Gilad Erdan is confirmed as the new minister in charge of public security and public diplomacy. Erdan will also be in charge of the Iran dossier, a position previously held by Yuval Steinitz.
Erdan is expected to head a team in charge of fighting international efforts to delegitimize Israel and blocking attempts to boycott Israeli products or cultural initiatives.
Erdan was approved in a telephone poll conducted among Likud ministers. He will be sworn in today.
