Government survey: 1 in 5 businesses warn they won’t survive in current market
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA poll conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics shows one in five businesses (19 percent) say they will not survive another three months in current market conditions.
Meanwhile 79% of businesses reported a drop of at least 25% in August revenue.
The survey finds that 11.5% of workers have lost their jobs since the outbreak of the coronavirus crisis, while another 6.4% are currently on unpaid leave.
