IDF chief orders boost in troop presence in West Bank after deadly terror attack

Following the deadly shooting attack in Jerusalem, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir has issued an instruction to bolster forces in the West Bank and continue to encircle the villages from which the two terrorists set out, the military says.
The IDF says Zamir held an assessment with top officers after the attack, during which he emphasized that the Gaza Strip remains the military’s focus.
As a result of the shooting attack and other “operational developments on the various fronts,” Zamir is also postponing a ceremony for outstanding soldiers that was set to take place this evening, the IDF adds.
