The IDF says dozens of civilians crossed the border into Syria near the Druze town of Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights a short while ago.

“IDF troops are currently working to safely return the civilians who crossed the border,” the army adds.

The civilians are Druze residents of Israel who are apparently protesting amid the ongoing clashes in the Sweida area of southern Syria, amid reports of Syrian Druze being killed in clashes with Syrian government forces.
