Iranian MP says US won’t start war ‘when Israel is within our range’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA senior Iranian lawmaker says the United States will not risk a military conflict because Israel is within range of the Islamic Republic’s missiles.
“The US military forces’ deployment in the Persian Gulf is more of the nature of psychological warfare. They are not ready for a war, [e]specially when Israel is within our range,” Ali Motahhari, a vice-speaker of parliament, is quoted saying by the semi-official Fars news agency.
Motahhari also rules out holding negotiations with the US: “We need to continue unity and resistance because the US will be forced to change its method after a while.”
