Justice minister: UN Gaza probe encourages Hamas terror

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked accuses the United Nations Human Rights Council of encouraging the Hamas terror group after it approved a probe into Israel’s handling of deadly clashes on the Gaza border.

“The HRC doesn’t care about human rights. Instead of criticizing Iran, Syria and Hamas for their human rights violations, the Council prefers to attack and criticize Israel — the only democracy in the Middle East,” she tweets.

Shaked says the commission of inquiry approved by the council “plays directly into the hands of Hamas, reinforcing and encouraging terrorism.”
