Liberman, Bennett expected to oppose truce extension

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman and Economy Minister Naftali Bennett are expected to vote against any extension of Saturday’s humanitarian truce beyond midnight tonight, Channel 2 reports.

The UN had requested an extension of the truce by 24 hours beyond the original 8 p.m. ending, but Israel has so far approved only four more hours. The cabinet is meeting soon to decide on whether to extend it any longer.
