Nearly 300 new cases of coronavirus diagnosed on Monday

The Health Ministry announces that 283 new cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed yesterday as infections rise amid an outbreak of the fast-spreading Delta variant of the coronavirus.
There are now 1,537 active cases, after the number was 230 just 11 days ago. However, only 45 people are hospitalized, with 21 of them in serious condition.
