Netanyahu fires Danon
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePrime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fires fellow Likud member Danny Danon from his position as deputy defense minister. Earlier today, Danon said Israel must “correct” the security cabinet decision made earlier to accept an Egyptian proposal for a ceasefire with Hamas.
“Once again, Hamas is dictating the terms. We must not be humiliated. We must correct the mistake of accepting the ceasefire proposal made this morning and let the military do its job,” he said.
