PM: IDF strike came after Turkey wasn’t heeding warning against military buildup in Syria

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserts in a Wednesday podcast interview that Israel will not tolerate a Turkish military buildup “that descends south because it threatens us.”

The comments come a day after the IDF targeted an airbase near Idlib, which is 185 miles from Israel’s border with Syria.

Netanyahu warns Turkey against such military activity in Syria.

“Don’t,” he says in English.

“The message was conveyed but apparently they didn’t hear it, so we made sure they understood it better,” he says.
