Police: 2 Hariri crime family leaders detained amid campaign against Arab crime wave

Police announce the arrest of two leaders of the Hariri crime family, one of the biggest criminal syndicates in Israel, amid “the struggle against criminal organizations and blood feuds in Arab society.”

Police say the unnamed Hariri figures were arrested by the Lahav 433 major crimes unit on charges of illegal firearm possession, as well as violating administrative restrictions that included house arrest and bans on traveling abroad and contacting other members of the crime family.

The suspects will remain in custody until at least Tuesday, according to police.
