Police arrest 4 relatives of woman found murdered in southern Bedouin village

Police arrested four family members of a woman who was murdered Tuesday night in the southern Bedouin village of Ararat an-Naqab, a spokesman for law enforcement says.

The victim, in her 40s, was found lifeless at around 11 p.m. in an open area near the town. Police suspect she was killed as part of a family dispute.

She is one of 143 Arab Israelis, among them 11 women, who have been killed in violent incidents since the start of the year, amid an unrelenting crime wave plaguing Arab locales throughout Israel.
