Police warn civilians not to approach Gaza Periphery

Israel Police are warning the public not to approach communities in the south near the Gaza Strip or drive on roads close to the Palestinian enclave.

Israelis have been making their way south to visit troops, bring supplies to soldiers or out of general curiosity.

“We are urging the public to avoid driving on roads in the Gaza Periphery. These are roads that serve the security forces and the movement of troops and are considered dangerous,” the police’s transportation department is quoted by Ynet as saying in a statement.
