Rioters in Haredi area of Jerusalem assault cops during minor’s arrest — police
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAbout 200 rioters in a Haredi area of Jerusalem this afternoon attacked police officers who were arresting a minor suspected of attempted carjacking, police say.
The rioters in the Bar Ilan area hurled stones and other items at the cops and tried to pull away the detained suspect, according to police, who report an officer was lightly wounded and a police car was damaged.
Officers restored public order and took the carjacking suspect for interrogation, police say.
