TV report: Likud demanded acting PM receive official state residence
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleChannel 12 reports that as part of negotiations Likud has demanded that the position of acting prime minister — which Benjamin Netanyahu would ostensibly fill once Benny Gantz becomes prime minister in 18 months — include an official state residence, akin to the Prime Minister’s Residence.
The network says the stipulation appears in a draft agreement between the sides.
Meanwhile, Likud officials tell Channel 12 it is actually Gantz who has insisted on the official residence, rather than Netanyahu.
