Stray bullet strikes IDF vehicle near Egypt

An IDF vehicle traveling along the Egypt-Israel border Sunday evening was struck by a bullet shot from the Sinai during a gunbattle between Egyptian forces and drug smugglers.

There were no injuries to Israeli forces.

IDF sources said several bullets fired from Egypt strayed into Israeli territory.

Also Sunday, Palestinians detonated an explosive device near an IDF vehicle patrolling the border with Gaza. No injuries were reported in that incident.
