Israeli airstrikes killed eight people on a highway south of Beirut, Lebanon’s health ministry says, as fighting between Hezbollah and Israel continued on the eve of a third round of US-mediated talks between Lebanon and Israel.
The three separate airstrikes targeted vehicles on the coastal highway in an area around 20 km (12 miles) south of Beirut, security sources say.
It is unclear if those killed were Hezbollah operatives or civilians.
There is no comment from the Israel Defense Forces.
