US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke on the phone today with President Isaac Herzog earlier today to “reaffirm unwavering US support for Israel’s right to defend itself from Hamas’ horrific terrorist attacks,” the State Department says.
“The Secretary reiterated his condolences for all those killed or injured and for those still missing,” the US readout adds.
Blinken is slated to visit Israel on Thursday to further discuss US support with Israeli officials.
