Confirming north Gaza strike, IDF says it targeted Hamas gunmen who posed threat to troops

The IDF confirms carrying out a strike in the northern Gaza Strip earlier today, saying it hit Hamas gunmen who posed a threat to Israeli troops.
The strike had targeted a Hamas command center “while armed terrorists from the Hamas terror organization were operating inside it to advance and carry out terror attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians,” the military says.
The IDF says several armed Hamas operatives were killed in the strike. Earlier, Hamas’s interior ministry said three officers and members of the security apparatus were killed in the strike.
