Egypt to re-open Rafah border crossing with Gaza — report
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Rafah crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip will re-open tomorrow, the Palestinian ambassador in Cairo tells the Hamas-linked daily, al-Resalah, after it was shuttered for more than 24 hours.
Until it was closed on Monday, the crossing, the only pedestrian passageway between Egypt and Gaza, had largely been open since late May.
Ambassador Diab al-Louh says the crossing has been facing technical issues related to its communications systems over the past two days.
