IDF says 17 hostages are in Egypt, heading to crossing with Israel

The Israel Defense Forces says the Red Cross has handed over the hostages to Egypt.

It says that according to information provided to the military, the hostages comprise 13 Israelis and four Thais.

The convoy carrying the hostages will head to the Kerem Shalom crossing, where Israeli officials will verify the list of names.

“IDF representatives are updating their families regularly,” it adds.
