Iran says it will seek UN Security Council ratification after final deal with US, as lesson from the past
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIran’s foreign ministry says it will seek ratification from the UN Security Council after it negotiates a final agreement covering its nuclear program with the United States.
“The final agreement is expected to be endorsed by a United Nations Security Council resolution after a period of 60 days,” says foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei in a weekly press briefing, adding that Tehran “will learn from past experience.”
That comment appears to be a reference to the 2018 US withdrawal from the previous nuclear deal Iran signed with Western powers in 2015.
