The Jewish Federations of North America says its annual fundraising campaign surged by 15.4% in fiscal year 2025, the largest year-over-year increase in a decade, bringing in a record $2.9 billion.
Annual campaigns are the federation system’s primary fundraising effort, supporting Jewish education, services for vulnerable people, community security, Israel and emergency relief.
The strong results follow JFNA’s conclusion of an emergency campaign launched after the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel, which raised more than $900 million. Many donors continued giving even after the emergency appeal ended, the umbrella organization says in a statement.
The total number of donors increased 2.7% between 2023 and 2025 to nearly 290,000. The increase was driven largely by existing donors giving more, while new donors were also drawn by efforts to strengthen Jewish security, support Israel, and combat antisemitism, JFNA says.
