The four British Palestine Action members convicted of smashing a UK site of Israeli defense firm Elbit in 2024, with one defendant found guilty of striking a police officer with a sledgehammer, could be sentenced for terror offenses, British media reports.
Prior to the first trial in the case, the judge ruled that there appeared to be a “terrorist connection” to the case, but that the jurors could not be informed of this and the media was not allowed to report it.
A terrorism connection could therefore be considered when the four are sentenced on June 12.
Last week, jurors found Charlotte Head, 30, Samuel Corner, 23, Leona Kamio, 30, and Fatema Rajwani, 21, guilty of criminal damage in the raid in Bristol on August 6, 2024.
The raid caused an estimated 1 million pounds ($1.36 million) in damage. Corner was filmed during the raid bringing a sledgehammer down on Sgt. Kate Evans, fracturing her spine.
