‘Please, no!’: Activist heard begging for mercy amid assault by settlers in West Bank

New footage from Friday’s settler attack on two Israeli left-wing activists trying to protect Palestinians in the West Bank shows one of the victims begging for mercy as she is beaten.
“No, please no!” the woman is heard pleading as the assault unfolds.
The wounded activists were airlifted to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva in moderate condition, the Magen David Adom ambulance service said.

The settlers are filmed arriving at the scene in an ATV that appears to be of the same kind that were gifted to a number of illegal outposts by the government last year in order to deepen Israel’s control over the West Bank.
No arrests have been made. Members of the governing coalition have yet to comment on the incident, but it was condemned by President Isaac Herzog, who said it is not representative of the broader settler movement.
Settler attacks have been taking place on a near-daily basis with almost complete impunity. This has led a small, but growing number of left-wing activists to volunteer to provide protective presence in vulnerable Palestinian villages, as the two victims were doing on Friday.
