Pop star Eyal Golan will be summoned for interrogation by police over the next two weeks regarding a sexual assault complaint filed against him, Hebrew outlets report.
The singer was set to be interrogated last week, but the session was postponed after he filed a complaint against the alleged victim, accusing her of attempting to extort him through threats.
The Central District police, who are investigating the case, reportedly obtained a recording in which the complainant’s friends can be heard saying she attempted to extort Golan, according to Channel 12.
As such, the complainant is also expected to be summoned for interrogation in the case.
The alleged victim, a beautician, told police that Golan came to her clinic for facial treatment around nine years ago, where he removed his pants and his underwear, exposed his genitalia and made sexual remarks to her. She claimed that he later pushed her to send him nude images, Channel 12 says.
