Senior IDF officer suspended following sexual harassment complaint

A senior IDF officer has been suspended following a complaint of sexual harassment filed by a female officer who served with him.
The Military Police has launched an investigation into the officer, who holds the rank of colonel and serves in the military’s C4I and Cyber Defense Directorate.
The IDF says the findings of the investigation will be forwarded to the Military Advocate General Corps for review and possible charges.
“In light of the investigation, the officer was suspended from his position by his commanders,” the military says.
The IDF adds that it views sexual harassment in the army “gravely” and will “continue to act decisively to eradicate any such phenomenon.”
