UAE reaffirms diplomacy, rejects confrontation with Iran, presidential adviser says

Anwar Gargash, an adviser to the United Arab Emirates president, says that the UAE remains committed to political solutions and diplomacy amid regional tensions, while stressing the country’s right to defend its sovereignty.

The Gulf state has been targeted by barrages of Iranian missiles and drones during the US-Israeli war with the Islamic Republic.

The UAE says it does not seek conflict and has worked to avoid it, adding that relations between the Arab states and Iran should not be based on confrontation.
