The IDF and Shin Bet arrested a Palestinian policeman for shooting and injuring an Israeli waiting at bus stop near Kedumim, the army revealed Wednesday.

Meir Mandelair, a 71-year-old resident of Shavei Shomron, was moderately wounded in the attack, which took place two months ago near the West Bank settlement, west of Nablus.

Iad Ednan Mahmed Daud, a 30-year-old resident of Kalkilya, confessed he was the shooter. Daud was initially arrested and questioned by the Palestinian security services after the shooting, but was released.

Two of the main suspect’s brothers, who are in their 20s, were also questioned and confessed to involvement in the incident.
