PR giant ribbed for loogie on Nazi house

Israeli public relations powerhouse Ran Rahav became the laughingstock of Israeli social-media users after posting a picture of himself spitting on Adolf Eichmann’s former home in Argentina Saturday.

Rahav, who represents and is a consultant to many of Israel’s top businessmen and leading companies, tweeted a picture of himself spitting outside the Nazi’s former Buenos Aires home with the caption “I had to spit on the ground in the name of my grandmothers and grandfathers.”

Eichmann, one of the architects of Hitler’s “Final Solution,” was captured by the Mossad in Argentina in 1960, tried in Jerusalem, and hanged for war crimes in 1962 — the only time Israel has carried out the death penalty.

Although some Israeli Twitter users seemed genuinely appreciative of Rahav’s gesture, most users responded sarcastically to his display of revenge with comments.

“Thank you on behalf of all victims of anti-Semitism and of the Jews killed throughout history, who have been awaiting your loogie,” said one follower.

While some mocked Rahav’s “classy” red boat shoes, others responded with comments such as “Now you’ve shown them, Ran!! They won’t ever perpetrate another Holocaust again,” or “I guess now we’re even.”

“Today banks are concealing survivors’ money so that they can pay millions to people you might know,” another said, referring to Rahav’s list of of wealthy clients.

“If you were a true Zionist, you would have defecated there too,” one follower posted on his Twitter feed.

Others photoshopped the original image to show Rahav spitting on various places, including Tel Aviv, a map of Israel and the discount coffee chain Cofix.

Israeli satirical TV show Eretz Nehederet also posted a doctored version of the photo, portraying Rahav as Theodor Herzl in his most famous photograph.
