An indictment was filed in Nazareth Magistrates Court against a 22-year-old female accused of beating her grandmother, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Friday.

The reason for the alleged beating? The woman’s grandmother refused to make burekas (delicious filled pastries made from phyllo dough).

According to the report, several days ago the granddaughter returned home in the morning smelling of alcohol. Upon arriving, she yelled at her grandmother to make breakfast: “I want burekas!” she shouted.

When the woman, 67, refused her progeny’s request, the granddaughter beat her with a squeegee.

The young woman is charged with attacking an elderly person and causing damage to property.
