6-year-old Palestinian killed in car accident outside settlement

Palestinians say young girl was hit by Israeli vehicle at the entrance to Efrat; two people killed in accident near Haifa

A six-year-old Palestinian girl was killed Saturday evening after being hit by a car near the entrance to the Israeli West Bank settlement of Efrat, south of Bethlehem.

Magen David Adom paramedics that arrived at the scene attempted to treat the child, but were unable to save her.

Palestinian officials said the girl was killed by an Israeli car. Police have not yet provided details.

In another car accident Saturday near Haifa, two people were killed and three others were injured in a collision between two cars on Road 772.

Paramedics said a number of those involved in the crash were in their 60s and 70s.
