Explosion damages Jewish school in Amsterdam — report

An explosion damaged a Jewish school in Amsterdam early this morning, in what the city’s mayor describes as a deliberate attack against the Jewish community, Dutch news agency ANP reports.

The explosion only caused limited damage, Mayor Femke Halsema tells ANP.

The incident comes a day after Dutch police said they had arrested four men on suspicion of setting off an explosion outside a synagogue in Rotterdam that caused a brief blaze and damage to the building.

It marks at least the ninth Diaspora synagogue targeted so far this month.
