Some 45 rockets were launched from Lebanon at northern Israel in the past hour, the IDF says.

The first barrage of some 30 rockets targeted the northern Golan Heights, at 3:35 p.m.

According to the IDF, some of the rockets were intercepted while others impacted open areas.

Some of the rocket impacts sparked fires.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for that barrage.

A barrage of 10 rockets was fired at the Western Galilee and another five rockets were fired at the Upper Galilee shortly before 4 p.m., the IDF says.

The Gaza Strip-based Hamas said its Lebanon branch carried out the rocket fire on the Western Galilee.

No injuries were caused in the attacks.
