Police chief visits slain Druze cop’s newborn
Police Commissioner Yohanan Danino pays an emotional visit Tuesday night to Darin Assad, the widow of slain Border Police officer Jedan Assad, in the northern Druze village of Beit Jann.
Danino and other senior police commanders arrived to congratulate Assad on the recent birth of her son, named after his father.
Jedan Assad was killed in November when a Palestinian attacker drove his car into a crowd of people near a light rail stop in East Jerusalem. A dozen other people were injured.
