Sirens sound in Israel’s Upper Galilee region near Lebanon border

Sirens warning of incoming projectiles are sounding in northern Israel, in the Upper Galilee area near the Lebanese border.

The alerts are triggered in the communities of Yiftah and Mevo’ot Hermon.

It is not clear if missiles or rockets from Lebanon triggered the sirens, but they came after Israel said it downed a surface-to-air guided missile fired from Lebanese territory a short time ago and responded to the attack by targeting Hezbollah sites.
