Drone intercepted near US-operated base at Baghdad airport
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIraqi air defenses have shot down a drone as it approached Victoria Base, a US-operated military compound inside Baghdad International Airport, a security source tells the AP on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak to the press.
There are no reported injuries or damage.
It is not immediately clear who is behind the attack.
Pro-Iranian Iraqi militias, such as Saraya Awliya al-Dam, have previously targeted the base.
