False chemical leak report sent by Haaretz impostor
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA false text message goes out to thousands of Israelis, ostensibly sent by Haaretz, saying: “Rocket from Gaza hit petrochemical plant in Haifa, huge fire, possible chemical leak, advised to evacuate Haifa.”
Haaretz denies the statement came from it.
No such attack occurred.
URGENT CLARIFICATION: An SMS has been sent in Haaretz's name alleging that rockets have struck Haifa. This message was not from Haaretz.
