Gantz says he'll remove Derech Eretz MKs Hauser, Hendel from posts

Blue and White party leader Benny Gantz says he will remove Derech Eretz MKs Zvi Hauser and Yoaz Hendel from their positions in the coalition, after their announcement they will join with Gideon Sa’ar’s party and their statement earlier today that they will resign from the posts if new elections are not called.

“Hauser and Hendel have chosen their new political home, and their time holding positions on behalf of Blue and White has thus come to an end,” Gantz says in a statement.

Hendel is removed as communications minister effective immediately. Hauser’s removal as head of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee will take a bit more time, as it demands a vote in the Knesset.
