i24 news crew attacked in Northern Ireland while filming report on antisemitism

A news crew from the Israeli i24News channel says it was attacked while filming about antisemitism last week in Northern Ireland.

According to a statement from the news network, reporter Yonatan Raveh and videographer Nadav Abas were filming in Belfast and interviewing locals as part of a documentary on rising antisemitism in Europe.

When a man realized that the crew members were from Israel, he tried to grab their camera equipment and then became belligerent and angry, the TV station says.

The man, who appears in the video to be intoxicated, threw a glass at Abas, causing a gash on the back of his head that was treated at the scene.
