The Israel Defense Forces names another seven soldiers killed during the ongoing war with Palestinian terrorists since October 7, mostly on the border with the Gaza Strip.
The names bring the toll of slain soldiers to 286.
They are:
Maj. (res.) Uri Shimon Russo, 44, a local security officer, from Kfar Aza.
First Sgt. (res.) Abraham Gabriel Korin, 56, a local security officer, from Holit.
Master Sgt. (res.) Shachar Aviani, 56, a local security officer, from Kfar Aza.
Staff Sgt. (res.) Ofek Arazi, 28, a local security officer, from Nir Yitzhak.
Staff Sgt. (res.) Omer Nissim Bitan, 22, a soldier in the 5th Brigade, from Binyamina
Sgt. Eliasaf Ben Porat, 21, a cook in the 282nd Artillery Regiment, from Safed.
Petty Officer Second Class Kamay Achiel, 18, a sailor in the 914th Patrol Squadron’s Snapir unit, from Rosh Haayin — killed as a result of an accidental blast in northern Israel due to malfunctioning ammunition.
